Both my boys enjoy a trip to @wagamamasofficial and the dish that son number one orders every time is their Shirodashi Ramen. I thought I’d have a go at my own version, so here it is. I have slowly cooked the pork belly, otherwise it’s tough and chewy. The broth is easy and quick and I’ve simplified it further by buying a rainbow vegetable stir fry pack from @marksandspencerfoodpr ⠀ We thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope you do too.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Serves 2⠀ ⠀ 4 pork belly strips⠀ 1 220g pack of pre-chopped stir fry veg (I used M&S Rainbow vegetables)⠀ 1 1/2 tablespoons of white miso paste (I used miso tasty) @misotasty 500-600ml hot water ⠀ Optional Chilli sliced ⠀ ⠀ Marinade ⠀ 2 tablespoons soy sauce ⠀ 2 tablespoons honey⠀ 1 teaspoon white miso paste ⠀ ⠀ Mix the marinade in a bowl, add the pork strips and coat thoroughly. Leave (if you can) for 30 minutes.⠀ Place on a roasting tray and cover with foil. Cook at 180 degrees for 1 hour. Remove the foil and cook for another 15-20 minutes for colour. ⠀ ⠀ Bring the water to the boil and stir in the miso paste. Add the noodles and cook according to pack instructions. Add the Vegetables for 2 minutes, plate up, sprinkle with chilli and serve. ⠀
