    Roast Turkey

AD | This year I have teamed up with @thermapen and am taking the guesswork out of cooking a turkey. Most of us only cook a turkey once a year and we want it to be tasty and beautifully succulent. By using a Thermapen we can ensure cooking perfection every time and can take control of the quality and safety of our food. As a Nation we often overcook our Christmas dinner, because we leave the turkey in the oven for too long…often fearful that we haven’t cooked it for long enou

Butternut Squash, Orzo Risotto , with crispy sage leaves, cheese & truffle oil

When Toby was a baby I had milk delivered twice a week. We moved and I never got around to organising it again. So you can imagine how pleased I was to find out that @freshmilkandmore deliver in my area. Living in the countryside and working from home, it’s so useful to know that I can order fresh items and store cupboard staples with no minimum order and they’ll be with me the following morning. Better still, as all of the milk and juice is delivered in glass bottles, I can

    Food Waste

#Ad I’m joining @Hotpoint.co.uk and @Jamieoliver on their mission to tackle food waste in our homes. Every year 1/3 of the food produced in the world for human consumption is lost or wasted. The main reasons for this are: * No cooking culture to reuse leftovers * Inefficient food preservation * Lack of purchase planning I would love you to join me (and the fabulous @jamieoliver) on a mission to help fight food waste. It will be fun if we do it together. During the week on my

    Organic UK

#AD I’m waving goodbye to summer and squeezing in one last delicious BBQ with a few friends. The entire meal is going to be organic and apart from making a simple dressing and buying a loaf of organic sourdough, everything is cooked on the BBQ. Think that going organic is difficult? You don’t have to go from 0 to 100% organic overnight, a few simple changes will make a massive difference to the future of our food system. Everyday staples are a good place to start, particularl

I must get through at least two packets of @tenderstem a week. We are all huge fans of this sweet, delicious and oh so good for you vegetable. It’s such a versatile vegetable and lends itself well to many cuisines from around the globe. Today’s recipe is inspired by the gorgeous flavours of Spain. I have such fond memories of Spanish holidays as a child - I think it’s where I first discovered my love of food. It would make an amazing side to a roast chicken smothered in smoke

Thai Salmon, Leek & Asparagus Traybake

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I cannot tell you how many people have tried my Thai Chicken Traybake. It’s been my most popular recipe to date, which is fantastic! Here is a similar recipe using Salmon, but any white firm fish such as Pollock, Cod or Haddock would work well. As it’s spring and because of my love of delicious veg, I’ve added the tasty leeks from @blas_y_tir and some English asparagus. Prawn, Pea & Leek Risotto

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As you know I love a meal that can be cooked using just one pan. Risotto ticks that box and although a little amount of effort is required to stir the risotto while the rice absorbs the stock, its a straight forward process that will deliver excellent results. I have used the beautiful leeks from @blas_y_tir which gave the risotto a wonderful sweetness and ensured it was full of flavour. I know Risotto purists would probably say no cheese with seafood but I love the

    Lamb Chop Traybake

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here is another one of my super, simple yet delicious tray-bakes. I have used lamb chops but lamb neck fillets cut into large chucks would work really well too. The sweet waxy potatoes from @blas _y_ tir absorbed all of the delicious flavour and the lemon and capers helped to cut any fattiness from the lamb. Ready in under an hour and with just one pan to wash up, what’s not to like? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Serves 4 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ INGREDIENTS 8 lamb Chops 3 peppers - cut int

    Thai Beef Cheek Massaman Curry

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wow what a tasty curry this was! Normally this curry would be made with chuck or stewing steak. I made it using ox cheek which is great value for money and I used the delicious potatoes from @blasytir The meat just fell apart and the waxy potatoes were such a lovely contrast. Beef shin would be a fantastic alternative but you would need to reduce the cooking time by 1 hour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ INGREDIENTS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 600g beef cheek 400g new potatoes - halved 1 can coconut mil
